Richard is a dynamic entrepreneur, community leader, and music artist dedicated to fostering positive change. As the founder of The Black House, he provides a unique event space and multimedia hub that empowers fellow entrepreneurs. A graduate of the Cornell Prison Education Program, Richard’s work focuses on violence interruption, youth counseling and mentorship, and street intervention. He serves as a lead intervention counselor with STRONG Youth, advocating for under-resourced families and addressing systemic challenges. Richard’s efforts have been recognized with the 2023 CPEP Alumni Community Organizer award from Cornell University and the District 6 Heroes of NY Commendation Award from Senator Thomas. He is deeply involved in racial equity initiatives and has spoken on panels at Hofstra University, Columbia University, and Buffalo State University. In addition to his community work, Richard is the owner of So Rich Entertainment and a signed artist under Red Cafe’s Shakedown Music label. Balancing his roles as an entrepreneur, advocate, and artist, Richard continues to inspire and create positive change within his community and beyond.
